A small press.
A wider world of stories.

Duo Lepores Press is an independent publishing house with a home for Roman history, genealogy and family history, and children’s adventures.

The press began with Marco Valenti’s books about the forgotten men and documents of the Roman Republic. That work continues, alongside Danny Evatt’s family histories and the imaginative world of D.R. Evatt’s children’s books.

Across these different subjects, the aim is simple: clear writing, thoughtful books, and stories worth sharing.

Why two hares?

The name Duo Lepores comes from the two hares in our publisher’s seal and an old Latin proverb about chasing two hares at once. The seal brings our different kinds of books together under one roof.
